Fender American standard Telecaster 2010 in fantastic 9/10 condition. This is a lovely instrument which has been upgraded with Bare Knuckle yardbird Telecaster pickups and Bare Knuckle pots. The pickup selector switch has had a four position mod done to give the same three positions as before but with the extra position selecting both single coils together to make in effect a humbucker. Superb, Never Played Tele with Hardshell Case "SUPERB"

For your consideration is a 1989 Fender American Standard Telecaster in Vintage White. It is not wholly original as certain alterations have been made during it's life.It is however still a great guitar. Features:-Solid Alder body - I am told by the previous owner that the Vintage White finish is not original but was in fact Green.However it's nicely done although there are elements of wear on the lacquer finish and there is a mark on the top horn (if you can call it that)These marks do not affect anything with regard to the stability or quality of the body but if you like he odd battle scar they are not unsightly. One -piece Maple neck-The profile on this neck is superb and is definately one of the guitar's best features.It's set up with 10's,is nice and straight and plays like a dream and is also nicely tinted.The frets have virtually no wear at all.Tuning is stable via the original Fender machines. The electrics are not original as the previous owner seems to have taken them off the guitar and replaced them with a cheaper far Eastern product.Having said that the switch is of the higher end variety and the volume control works fine reducing or increasing at an even rate.The tone control is less accurate and as a replacement I have purchased a high quality CTS 250 Solid Shaft Pot which is used on many American Fenders.This has not yet been fitted.I will send this along with the guitar so the new owner can have this fitted or if preferred I will have it replaced prior to sending. Pick-ups-I didn't realise until I changed the scratchplate from a non-original Pearloid to a white USA Standard 3-ply one that the pick-ups had been removed and a set of ceramic cheaper ones fitted.I have therefore upgraded them by fitting some brand new Fender USA Vintage Tele pick-ups which sound fantastic. At some point the jack assembly has been removed and reset as there are marks around the hole in which the cup is placed.Everything here is set solidly and works fine. All in all,although if is not wholly original,this is still a high quality American guitar which plays and sounds great and in view of the changes it has experienced is priced accordingly. Please bid with confidence as my feedback tells it's own story. I will ship within 3 working days of receipt of payment.As the original case is not with this guitar I will post it in a new Fender Deluxe Gig Bag within a Fender Guitars box so all should be well protected in transit.

Consistent with the top quality of these pickups, the controls are equally first rate. The switch is a genuine USA CRL 3 way switch. The CRL switch has a real coil spring, just as they did in the 50's and 60's. Most newer Fenders use a cheaper form of switch, one that does not have the same positive contact, and the same satisfying feel of the click, that these more expensive and durable old-school CRL switches have. The control wiring is neat and tidy, as you'd expect from Pat's Guitars, using high quality vintage style cloth covered push back wire, just like the kind that was used in Leo Fender's day. The volume and tone controls are genuine USA CTS 500K control pots with a real SPRAGUE "Orange Drop" .022 microfarad tone capacitor [see the PICASA album for more details]...Also please note that I have completed the control harness with the perfect finishing touch: my very popular resistor-capacitor volume kit. If you have a good ear, you have probably noticed that when you roll off the volume control on a guitar your tone changes. There is a minor but significant treble roll-off that occurs along with the volume roll-off. Although the treble cut in the volume control is not nearly as steep as the treble roll-off that occurs with your tone control, it is still strong enough to annoy any player who makes much use of the volume control on his or her guitar. The treble loss problem is solved on this Telecaster, thanks to a 1000pf capacitor and a 220K resistor wired together to the volume pot, which work to eliminate the usual loss of high frequencies at lower volume settings. Finally your volume control will only cut your volume, it will not cut your highs as well...A weak spot in many Telecasters is the jack design, Tele jacks tend to get loose and noisy with the passage of time. There is only one solution that works, and this guitar has it: the patented "electro-socket," in combination with a military spec Switchcraft jack. The electrosocket secures directly to the body, and will not wiggle or come loose over time. Your cable snaps in with a solid and satisfying click, then stays rigid in the jack. No more static and noise. The electro-socket has that special look of quality too, with its "bowl-shaped" rather than "cup-shaped" contours. The jack itself is a military spec Switchcraft USA part. It may look somewhat similar, but it is designed completely differently than the standard Switchcraft version normally used in even high-end guitars. This uprated part has an extra layer, with the ground contact nearest the base of the plug (where it belongs), and other enhanced features including superior silver plated contacts. It has a super comfortable feel in the first position that is just great for ripping through standard chord shapes as well as killer country open string runs. The neck is straight and it plays in tune up and down the entire length. It has the feel of a well played vintage Fender, nicely worn in and very fast. The pickups sound amazing - more on those later. This is killer vintage Tele and a tremendous playing guitar by any standard. Item Details Dig the Walnut finish on the ash body! Classic! Combined with the long black pick guard, the Seth Lover Wide Range humbuckers and the big Strat style headstock, this Telecaster Deluxe has it going on! Year: 2004 Serial# Z4157994 Manufacturer: Fender ® Model: USA Standard Telecaster Color: Black with Maple Fretboard Case: Original Moulded ABS Fender Hardcase. No cracks or splits and in very good condition. No case candy. Neck Condition: Excellent. No scuffs on end of headstock, there is a small patch of discolouration on the back of the headstock where the previous owner had a sticker which has been removed. The guitar arrived with 3 very small indentations in the skunk stripe on the back of the neck around the 12th fret. Most likely from a guitar stand. These have been touched in and you can hardly see them and certainly cant feel them. Frets: Original. Arrived with hardly any wear. The upper frets even still had some factory lacquer on them! As part of the recent set-up it has had a pro fretdress. Silky smooth! Pickups and electrics: All original, pots turn freely with no noise or scratches. Switch working perfectly. The no load tone control works a treat. Tuners: Factory original and all turning evenly and freely. Body Condition: Excellent. No buckle rash. No chips or dings. No finish cracks around neck join. Some very minor pick scratches but overall verging on mint condition. Description: This is the real deal. A 2004 USA Fender Telecaster American Standard. It's in fantastic condition and sounds and plays great. It has no chips or dings anywhere on the body and visually easily rates a 9.5/10 condition. It has been played as the very light surface scratches indicate and certainly has been very well looked after and is in practically mint condition. This one has a maple neck and fretboard. Unlike many maple neck teles the edge of the neck shows no discoloration or chipping of the finish. It has had a recent pro set-up by local luthier Julian Mullen where he serviced the whole instrument, touched in a small indentation in the neck set it up in standard tuning with D’addarrio 9 gauge strings and fret dressed the instrument. This was a £70 job and has left the instrument in perfect playing and sounding order. The pots turn freely without crackles or pops. The selector switch has been cleaned and works fine. This guitar is with the original Fender ABS moulded hard case. I am happy to pack and ship the guitar although buyers are welcome to collect and inspect the guitar from my Reading town centre address. We can supply a detailed information sheet via PDF including some hi res photos of the instrument. This will be added to this auction shortly. When you switch to the bridge pickup, that's where the fireworks go off. There's really just nothing like the sound of an original 50's Tele bridge pickup. It truly is the stuff of legend - bright, full, spanky, sparkling, multi-dimensional and 100% honest. * I played every country, bluegrass and chicken pickin line I've got in my bag and they've simply never sounded better. Open string runs give off that great harp like sound with plenty of room for notes to breathe. I ran it through a '59 Fender Tweed Deluxe and got one of the best country / blues tones I've ever heard. Simply excellent. Bends, double stops, first position chords, bar chords up and down the neck - they all play great and in tune. A true joy to play. This is a vintage piece that players and collectors will simply have to fight over. Item Details Except for the refinished paint job, this 1955 Fender Telecaster is 100% original. The body and back of the neck have been painted black - this was done quite a long time ago as the body and neck paint show the signs of regular play wear. Everything else is original. The solder joints have been touched up over the years during regular maintenance. Maple neck and fretboard with dot inlays. The pickups are original as are the tuners, bridge, saddle pieces, pick guard, neck plate, controls, strap buttons, pots, switch and capacitors. The tweed hard shell case is original. Overall Condition This 1955 Fender Telecaster is in very good condition. It is all original except for the refinished black paint. It is in excellent playing condition. The frets are original and even. There is some light buckle rash to the paint on the back and the neck paint has worn in nicely from playing. The tweed hard shell case should probably be retired soon - the spine is weak which is very typical of these older cases and there are some small holes in the tweed. 1983/84 Fender Standard Telecaster!Made in Fullerton, California!This is fairly rare Black Telecaster with an 8-screw black pickguard. The serial number, E325718, points to 1984 as the year of manufacture but the best way to tell with Fenders is by the neck code. I didn't want to disturb this one but I'm betting on 1984, even though the one pot code I could read is 1378316. Besides some minor blemishes in the gorgeous black finish this Tele appears to be virtually unplayed. The frets, fingerboard, and back of the neck are nearly pristine, and I doubt there are more than a few hours total play on this one. There is a very small nick on the front edge of the horn, I didn't even bother to photo it, and a few tiny imperfections on the top here and there. You won't see any from more than a foot or two away. One small area in the middle of the back has light buckle marks, but the rims and edges are clean. All the chrome-plated Schaller hardware is bright and shiny, no oxidation present. The controls and 3-way switch work smoothly and the guitar plays effortlessly. Even the case (no Fender logo) is in amazing condition, like it has been under the bed in a box for 25 years or so. There really is nothing that sounds quite like an American-made Telecaster. Fender moved production to Japan soon after this guitar was built!Fender introduced the Telecaster nameplate in early 1951 after Gretsch complained about Fender's calling it the "Broadcaster". It and it's brother, the Stratocaster, comprise two-thirds of rock 'n' roll's iconic triumverate of guitars along with Gibson's Les Paul model. Tech Talk We have discovered this is an excellent Tele® neck pickup. It balances very well with most Tele® bridge pickups, and it performs equally well with crystal-clean amps and extreme overdrive. Although it is a fairly bright pickup, it isn’t harsh-sounding and will also perform well in the bridge position of both solid and semi-hollow body guitars. We pot the DiMarzio Vintage Minibucker™ in wax after the cover has been installed to eliminate microphonic squealing. We’ve also included 4-conductor wiring for greater sound options. The middle pickup is a Seymour Duncan Vintage Rails for Strat. What a fine pickup this is! Clean and clear Strat bell tones, lot of chime and transparent glassy sounds, with just the right output to balance well with the other two pickups. The Vintage Rails for Strat gives you the unmistakable Stratocaster sound, and brings a whole new tonal dimension into the "JUDGE" model. The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack. The Vintage Rails produces outstanding twangy Tele leads with the classic 50's style vintage Tele single coil tone. Just like the Tele pickups, it is yarn-wrapped with a copper base-plate. But guess what? It isn't really a single coil. This amazing Duncan pickup utilizes a stacked coil arrangement to create a noise-free humbucker that fits in a single coil space. You'll love this pickup for your leads, and you'll love the crisp Tele bite you'll hear when the Vintage Rails blends with the other pickups in the "JUDGE" The Tone control is a NO load tone control. Its a very ingenious idea, at the end of the rotation the knob will click, at that point the tone capacitor is removed from the circuit leaving you with the Pure Tone of the selected pickup(s) going straight to your amp ! The 7-up Paisley "JUDGE" can Growl ferociously, or purr like a kitten. The output jack is the heavy duty design by Switchcraft, the very best made, silver contacts, heavier wafer design and its mounted to the patented electro socket. It looks similar in design to the other standard model Switchcrafts but it is totally different. The control cavity is neatly wired and shielded, the way you have come to expect from Ralph & Sandy's Custom Shop. The output jack on a telecaster has been a weakspot since the day of birth and has never been rectified by the company to this day. The electro socket addresses this problem and mounts directly to the body of the guitar and its bowl shaped, rather than cup shaped. It will not come loose with the passage of time. This setup delivers a positive snap in place that not only inspires confidence it delivers great tone all night long every night, no pops or snaps ! I will do my best to accomodate your needs. About the neck ....... The USA neck boasts all the features of other Fender necks. It was built just weeks before this auction, it is new and unused. It is crafted from a single piece of maple ( No laminated fretboard ) it has a 9.5 radius, Jumbo frets for super big deep bends and a biflex truss rod adjustment at the headstock. This makes a perfect choice for our JUDGE telecaster and all that is lacks is attention to detail. If you have followed my auctions in the past or have had the distinct pleasure of playing one of my properly prepared necks than you already know at Ralph & Sandy's Custom Shop we go the distance to make a neck plays its very best ! We feel your worth the time and we want you to know how a fantastic that your guitar can actually play, what good old elbow grease will accomplish when applied. The finish is left on the frets, the factory ends are not neat, When you play one of our necks you will agree, we are second to no one ! Our pride and dedication to our craft is very apparent. Below is what a properly prepared neck looks like. How this fretwork look ? If they look nice to you.... Wait until you play it ! This neck features Fender's state-of-the art sealed Schaller-built chrome tuning machines. These tuners have the Fender logo engraved on the back And they are staggered in height to keep just the right pull at the nut As with all Warmoth Custom Shop bodies and a good share of Fender guitars there is no micro tilt adjustment offered on them. To do a complete setup on your guitar it requires adjusting the angle the neck sets in the pocket. This can only be accomplished by either adjusting your micro tilt adjuster with an allen wrench or the OLD way of placing shims in the neck pocket. My shop installs the micro tilt adjustment system in all of our guitars (Even the vintage models ). This makes it easy and simple to adjust your neck for the proper angle you do not have the tedious job of removing the strings and placing shims in the neck pocket. Simply put just loosen the bottom neck screws a couple of turns and insert the allen wrench through the neck plate adjust it, Re-tighten the neck and tune to pitch. Below is our retro fit micro-tilt adjuster. Fender Custom Shop Telecaster Another of my fathers guitars up for sale, this one was bought new last year at guitars4you in ashbourne, it came as a relic in black. In the time we had it we refinished the guitar at our business, Relicinc and had it done in see through blonde as a closet classic finish in cellulose. It has the laquer cracking but doesnt have the knocked about look. Personal preference I suppose as i actually preferred the knackered look but my father thought the guitar originaly looked so battered it had to be redone a little better. Acoustically this is the best telecaster I have played, it has been used by a couple of bands that have come through my studio who loved the sound and ditched their usa tele as soon as they heard it (www.gainrecording.co.uk) shameless plug haha! The wood is made from 100 year old pine floorboards, which sound absolutely vibrant and give a massive amount of sustain to the guitar, it has to be played to appreciate it. Has a genuine bakerlite pickguard fitted with the origional still in the case as well, 9 1/2" radius board with medium jumbo frets. comes with all tags/cerificate/case candy from new. As the gibson for sale also, I can run the guitar through its paces in the studio if you are too far away to come and play it to hear its tones. local pickup prefered due to the worth of the guitar but arrangements could be made prior to the sale if you needed it couriering. any questions please ask away.

The modern C shaped neck feels great in your hands and is a pleasure to play. This guitar has the Fender Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups sound fantastic and are very articulate, not to mention the S-1 switch provides maximum tonal options. All is all great Tele!! This Telecaster is not a vintage guitar but is surely a collector piece. The representative at the Fender Admin. office which is about 15 miles from me said that this Tele was not made for public sale but for the Fender Museum in California. As you can see from the photos the graphic has a cowboy playing an acoustic guitar and it reads "CALIFORNIA COUNTRY-FENDER MUSEM-RYTHYM LOUNGE". He also stated that it could very well be a one of a kind guitar because he has never seen one like it and that the ones made for the Fender museum were not in his database because they were not for public sale. The serial is Z9327154, which would designate 2009-2010 for the year made. Besides being a collector piece it's an American Standard Tele. It's in perfect condition as I only played it a handful of times. The graphic was done at the Fender Factory, not an after thought, it's in the finish of the Tele. It has a beautiful maple neck with the the tilt adjustment at the heel and a nice string tree. The truss rod adjustment is at the headstock. Top hat switch button, vintage style Fender logo saddles. The neck plate reads, Fender Corona California. The saddles are the vintage style Fender logo saddles. It come with a TSA 002 flight case with keys and the nice heavy-duty latches also in perfect condition. I will ship worldwide. BUT to countries that only accept boxes that are up to the 108 inch limit per USPS. UK is fine I know that for sure. Shipping to the lower 48 US States will be 65.00 fully insured.
